About this tool

This is not an AI-content detector. Telling whether a specific piece of text was written by a person or a model is unreliable even with a real detection model behind it, and this tool doesn't try. Instead, it's an editing aid: it flags individual words, stock phrases, and sentence structures that show up more often in AI-generated writing than in typical human prose, so you can look at them and decide, sentence by sentence, whether they're actually the best word for the job or just a reflex.

Why this vocabulary keeps showing up

Language models are trained to predict a statistically likely next word, which nudges output toward safe, high-frequency phrasing: words like "delve," "robust," or "tapestry," and transitions like "in today's fast-paced world" score well across a huge range of prompts, so they get reused constantly. That's a property of how the text was generated, not a sign the writing is bad or that a model is incapable of precise, specific prose, a well-prompted and edited model can avoid every pattern here.

The goal is better writing, not gaming a detector

Every flag here is a prompt to reconsider a word choice or sentence shape, not a verdict to erase. Human writers use plenty of these words too, and removing every hit mechanically can leave prose that reads stranger than the original. Use the highlights to find spots where a more specific, plainer, or more varied phrasing would simply read better, for a reader, not for whatever heuristic produced this scan.
