About this tool
llms.txt is a proposed convention (from llmstxt.org) for giving AI models a short, structured entry point to a site or project: a title, a one-line summary, optional extra context, and a curated set of links grouped by section, all in plain Markdown at example.com/llms.txt. It's meant to be read alongside or instead of crawling your full site, since most pages contain a lot of navigation, styling, and boilerplate that isn't useful context for a model.
Why grouped sections
Section headers (like "Docs" or "Examples") let a model, or a person, scan straight to the category of link they need instead of one flat list. The convention also recognizes a special Optional section name for links that are useful but skippable if a model is working with a shorter context window, use it for secondary material like a changelog or a blog.
This is an emerging, unofficial convention
Unlike robots.txt, llms.txt isn't a web standard and no major AI provider has committed to reading it automatically yet. Publishing one costs little and may help tools that do support it, but don't treat it as a guaranteed way to influence how a model discusses your site today.
