About this tool
This shows an approximation of how your page might look in Google's search results, based on the title, URL, and meta description you provide. Google doesn't always use your exact text, it sometimes rewrites titles or pulls description text from elsewhere on the page, so treat this as a preview of your intent, not a guarantee of the final result.
Why pixel width, not just character count
Google truncates titles and descriptions based on how much horizontal space the rendered text takes up, not a fixed character count. Letters like "i" and "l" take up less space than "W" or "M", so two titles with the same character count can render at very different widths. That's why this tool measures actual pixel width against Google's approximate limits, roughly 600px for titles and 960px for descriptions on desktop, tighter on mobile.
Why bold keywords show up
Google bolds terms in the snippet that match what someone searched for. The bold keyword field here lets you simulate that, so you can see how a snippet looks when a specific search term is highlighted.
